Erin J. Reifler is a New York City-based musical theatre writer, music director, and copyist. Originally from Evanston, IL, Erin received a B.A. from Brown University and her M.F.A from the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Her recent writing credits include: SHOWCASE: A REHEARSAL MUSICAL with collaborator Kevin Renn and THE UNTITLED JOSIE PROJECT with Zonia Tsang. Her work has been featured at the Goodspeed, NYMF, Green Room 42, Feinstein's 54 Below, and Two Rivers Theater. With collaborator Zonia Tsang, finalists for the 2025 Dramatists Guild Fellowship, 2021 New Voices Project Merit Award Winners in collaboration with Disney Imagineering, 2023 Civilians R&D Group Finalists, and 2024 Moxie Arts Incubator Finalists. Her short musical, THE TROMBONE LESSON, was the Winner of Manhattan Repertory's 10-Minute Play Competition. Erin was formerly the Music Supervisor of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center. She has worked with artists such as Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally, Lea Salonga, Edie Falco, Peter Dinklage, and The Bengsons. Most recently, she was on the music teams of THE GREAT GATSBY (Broadway, West End, Seoul, National Tour), SHUCKED (Broadway, West End, National Tour), PARADISE SQUARE (Broadway, Chicago), and WEST SIDE STORY (Broadway). Off-Broadway she worked on WHERE THE MOUNTAIN MEETS THE SEA (NY City Center), CYRANO (Daryl Roth), ORATORIO FOR LIVING THINGS (Ars Nova). Proud member of AFM, ASCAP, and Dramatists Guild. |
