Erin began playing trombone at 9 years old. Erin has performed on many stages including Symphony Center and Carnegie Hall, as well as the Jazz Showcase and the Chicago Jazz Festival. Primarily focusing on musical theater, Erin has played both tenor and bass trombone in the pit orchestras for over 30 productions spanning from Chicago, Providence, and New York City, including two summers with the College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, MA. Often the only woman in the section, Erin was honored to join the NYChillharmonic for their gig "22 Women" to celebrate women in jazz. A classical trombonist, Erin was a featured soloist on the Brown University Orchestra's recording of Rhapsody in Blue for a collaboration CD with pianist Jeffrey Biegel, "Manhattan Intermezzo." She also was principal trombonist on the first ever recorded performance of "Anthony Burgess: Ballet Suite" under the baton of Paul Phillips. Recent notable works performed include Philip Glass Symphony No. 2, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 7, and bass trombone on Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra. Erin is a private teacher in New York City and teaches young children to college undergrads. She also has experience working with people with ADHD and Autism.
